Milwaukee’s WEAR-DEFENSE nitrile dipped gloves now cover five cut levels, with US list prices running from $7.97 for a Cut Level 1 pair to $24.97 for the Cut Level A6 pair that was scheduled for September 2026. Milwaukee Tool announced the line in May 2026 and says it is built to give the longest glove life of its dipped gloves.

How much do the gloves cost and when do they ship?

Milwaukee lists five size L models, each with its own SKU and list price. Four were due in June 2026 and the A6 in September 2026.

Bar chart of Milwaukee WEAR-DEFENSE high dexterity glove list prices for A3 A4 A5 and A6 List price rises with each step up in cut level, from $15.97 for the A3 to $24.97 for the A6, according to Milwaukee’s release.

The US product page shows these figures in dollars. The Canadian press page lists the same figures without naming a currency and names no Canadian retailer, so treat Canadian shelf prices as unconfirmed until you see them on a store listing.

What is different about the knit and the coating?

Cut Level 1 uses a 15-gauge knit that Milwaukee pitches for mobility and breathability. Cut Levels A3 to A6 move to an 18-gauge coreless knit that the company says adds stretch and a lighter feel.

The shared feature is the WEAR-DEFENSE nitrile coating, which Milwaukee says reinforces high-wear areas so the glove lasts longer. The trade site New Equipment repeats those specifications in its own write-up.

One detail does not line up. Milwaukee’s release lists sizes S to 2XL, while its feature list says all sizes are currently available in large. Check your size before ordering for a crew.

What do the ratings on the Cut Level 4 glove say?

The product page for the 48-73-6942E listing, a pack quantity of 144, gives the clearest numbers. Milwaukee rates it to ANSI/ISEA 105-2024 at Cut Level 4, Abrasion Level 6 and Puncture Level 3, with an EN388 rating of 4X42D.

The page also lists SMARTSWIPE touchscreen compatible fingertips and extra nitrile between the thumb and index finger. Its claim of the longest life among 18 gauge cut gloves is Milwaukee’s own, and we found no independent wear test.

Who it suits

  • Tradespeople handling sharp edges: the A4 to A6 gloves offer more cut protection on paper, at a higher price. Match the rating printed on the glove to the hazard on your site.
  • Electricians and plumbers who need feel: the 18-gauge A3 to A5 models are aimed at dexterity. Confirm the touchscreen fingertips on the exact level you buy, since only the A4 page lists them.
  • Homeowners and DIYers: the Cut Level 1 pair at $7.97 is the budget entry for yard work and moving jobs, with the lowest cut protection of the range.
  • Crew buyers: the 144 quantity listing may suit stocking a team, but check sizes and Canadian pricing first.

Still unknown: Canadian prices, when the A6 reaches shelves in Canada, and independent durability tests.

For a next step, read the glove ratings on Milwaukee’s Canadian product pages and compare them with the hazards you face before you pick a level.
