Ryobi’s new PCG043 18V ONE+ Power Source & Charger is listed at $59.97 on ryobitools.com, and it turns an 18V ONE+ battery you already own into a USB charging station for phones, tablets and other small devices. The same USB-C port also works in reverse, so it can charge a battery. Tool Craze, a tool news site, reports it as available in October 2026. Prices here are US prices; the sources give no Canadian price or Canadian retailers, so check ryobitools.ca and Home Depot Canada.
What does the PCG043 do?
Ryobi calls it a 2-in-1 power source and 18V ONE+ charger. According to Ryobi and the two trade sites that covered it, OPE Plus and Tool Craze, the unit has two ports:
- USB-C: 60W maximum, bi-directional. Power flows out to a device, or in from an external charger to refill the battery.
- USB-A: 10W maximum output, for older cables with the rectangular plug.
A built-in stand props up a phone or tablet while it charges. There is a lighted on/off button and status lights that show charging when a battery is being filled. A 4 ft USB-C cable rated for 60W is included. Ryobi lists phones, tablets, smart watches, cameras and drones as supported devices.
Does it include a battery?
No. Batteries are sold separately, and Ryobi says any 18V ONE+ battery works with the unit. For scale, Ryobi’s own page lists the 18V ONE+ 4Ah battery (PBP004) at $89.00 and the 2Ah battery (PBP003) at $49.97 at the time we read it, so a first time buyer should budget for a battery on top of the $59.97. Ryobi gives a 3 year manufacturer warranty, according to Tool Craze.
How is it different from older Ryobi power sources?
Tool Craze describes it as a new iteration of Ryobi’s earlier 18V power sources and does not compare the specs. The two notable details in the sources are the 60W bi-directional USB-C port and the ability to charge a battery through that port. Ryobi’s product page does not list a charging rate or kit contents in its specification tabs, so the figures above come from the trade coverage.
Who it suits
- Tradespeople already on 18V ONE+: a spare battery can keep a phone charged through a long day. Check how much capacity you are willing to take from tool batteries.
- Homeowners preparing for outages: it gives phones and tablets a power path from batteries you already own. It is not a substitute for a larger power station, since the output is capped at 60W.
- Newcomers to ONE+: you need a battery as well, which raises the cost above $59.97.
- Travellers and campers: the built-in stand and USB-C port are handy. Confirm the battery is allowed where you travel.
- Crew buyers: one unit per truck is a low cost add on, with a 3 year warranty claimed by Tool Craze’s report.
