Milwaukee has added five AIR-TIP attachments for wet/dry vacuums, led by a Bucket Topper dust collector (49-90-2041) at US$39.99 and a Compact Dust Collector (49-90-2044) at US$34.99. The company’s US press release puts the launch in May 2026 and says the range now stands at 24 solutions. Canadian pricing has not been published on the pages we read.

What are the new AIR-TIP attachments?

Milwaukee lists six items in this release. Five are new tools and one is a spare part:

Model Product US MSRP
49-90-2041 Bucket Topper Dust Collector $39.99
49-90-2044 Compact Dust Collector $34.99
49-90-2047 Debris Scraper $34.99
49-90-2046 Boiler Coil Cleaning Brush Tool $29.99
49-90-2043 Automotive Detail Brush $24.99
49-90-1975 Debris Scraper Blade 3-Pack $29.99

Milwaukee says the whole family works with its own vacuums and with other wet/dry brands. The inlet sizes it lists are 1-1/4 in., 1-7/8 in. and 2-1/2 in. hoses, so most shop vacuums should be covered, though you should still measure your own hose before buying.

How do the dust collectors work?

The Bucket Topper clips onto a standard 5-gallon bucket and catches the dust cloud that rises when you pour or mix powder. Milwaukee describes the crescent shape as leaving room for a mixing paddle, and names joint compound, concrete and tile materials as the target jobs. The Canadian product page on milwaukeetool.ca repeats the same fit and hose details, and links pouring test sheets for the 0915-20 and 0970-20 vacuums.

The Compact Dust Collector uses a rubber seal that holds against a wall, which frees both hands while you cut, drill or sand in a tight or enclosed spot. ToolGuyd called it a must have, because the larger collector in the line can be too big for quick jobs. The same outlet said the Bucket Topper fills a gap in the range.

What do the scraper and brushes add?

The Debris Scraper has a chisel blade that scrapes and vacuums in one pass, plus a sight window and a toolless blade release. Milwaukee points it at drywall mud, carpet adhesive, grout, tile and old paint. Spare blades come in a three pack.

The Boiler Coil Cleaning Brush Tool uses non-marring bristles to loosen soot, dirt and rust while the vacuum pulls it away, and its slim profile suits tight spaces such as boilers, heat exchangers, condensers and AC filters. The Automotive Detail Brush has stiff bristles for pet hair, sand and road salt in car carpet.

Who it suits

  • Drywall finishers and tile setters: the Bucket Topper targets the dust you create when mixing, which is hard to catch with a hose held by hand. Check that your bucket is a standard 5-gallon size.
  • Renovators and electricians: the Compact Dust Collector is the one for drilling into walls and ceilings. It needs a flat surface for the seal, so rough masonry may be a poor fit.
  • HVAC and mechanical trades: the boiler coil brush replaces a two step scrub then vacuum routine, according to ToolGuyd. Confirm your hose size first.
  • Homeowners and detailers: the automotive brush is the cheapest item here, and it only needs a vacuum you already own.
  • Crews already on a Milwaukee vacuum: you get the full fit, but because the line also fits other brands, there is no need to switch vacuums.

What is still unknown?

Milwaukee’s release does not give weights, dimensions or a warranty, and the Canadian page lists no price. ToolGuyd noted that the launch items were listed for sale at Acme Tools in the United States. Canadian readers should check milwaukeetool.ca and their local dealer for stock and CAD pricing before planning a purchase. The next step is the Where To Buy link on each product page, which shows who carries the item near you.
