EGO Commercial has shown three battery zero turn riding mowers, a 780 CFM blower, a 16.5 inch string trimmer and a new PGX Hub charger, according to an Electrek report from the EQUIP Expo published on October 24. Neither Electrek nor the EGO Commercial site gives a price or a release date, and no Canadian availability has been stated.

What did EGO Commercial show at EQUIP Expo?

Electrek lists three riders. The commercial sit-down and stand-on zero turns are rated at up to 44 gas-equivalent hp and up to 12 mph, with 48, 54 or 60 inch decks and up to four removable batteries. The Commercial Compact Stand-On ZTR is rated at up to 26 gas-equivalent hp and up to 9 mph, with 32 or 36 inch decks.

Machine Rating or size Details reported
Sit-down ZTR Up to 44 gas-equivalent hp Up to 12 mph, 48, 54 or 60 inch decks
Stand-on ZTR Up to 44 gas-equivalent hp Up to 12 mph, 48, 54 or 60 inch decks
Compact Stand-On ZTR Up to 26 gas-equivalent hp Up to 9 mph, 32 or 36 inch decks
Commercial 780 CFM Blower 780 CFM Up to 190 mph, 27 newtons push force, 4.8 lb bare tool
16.5 inch Front-Motor String Trimmer 28 cc gas-equivalent 6.6 lb, carbon-fiber shaft, direct-drive brushless motor

Both full size riders also carry an onboard 700-W DC-to-DC charger, which Electrek says can recharge handheld 56V ARC batteries in the field.

How does the PGX Hub charging work?

Electrek describes a 3200W PGX Hub with 30 kWh of overnight charging capacity and three-port 56V ARC-Lithium battery docks, designed to run from a standard 120V outlet and a 15A circuit. EGO Commercial’s own technology page describes a different, smaller product: a 1600W Hub that connects to 3-Port Docks to charge up to three batteries at a time, with hubs that can be joined to charge up to 70 batteries. It also says one standard 15-amp circuit is enough, with no expensive electrical upgrades.

The site does not yet list the 3200W unit, so treat its specifications as the expo report’s description until EGO publishes a product page.

Will my current EGO batteries work with it?

EGO Commercial says its 56V ARC Lithium batteries are compatible with all EGO Commercial tools and are rated IPX4 water resistant when used with the tool. Electrek adds that a dedicated ZTR connection lets one integrated battery and charging system power the mowers and the handheld tools, and that a Fleet App tracks equipment location and usage, battery and charging status and alerts.

When can you buy it, and for how much?

Neither source says. The EGO Commercial site lists the zero turn models ZTX6000R, ZTX5400R and ZTX4800R as Coming Soon or sold out, but it does not say whether those are the machines shown at the expo. No Canadian or US price has been published for any of the new items.

Who it suits

  • Landscaping crews already on 56V ARC: the shared battery platform and the in-field charger on the riders are the main attractions. Ask about runtime, which neither source gives.
  • Fleet and crew buyers: the Fleet App and the multi-battery charging hub are aimed at managing many batteries. Check shop wiring against the 15A circuit claim.
  • Homeowners: these are commercial machines with no price, so a homeowner should look at EGO’s consumer lines instead.
  • Buyers in Canada: wait for EGO to confirm Canadian models and pricing before planning a purchase.
