Milwaukee Tool has a second, larger ROLL-ON battery power supply for crews who want job site power without a gas generator. The ROLL-ON 7200W/3600W 6.0kWh Power Supply, model 3301R, is listed at $8,999 in Milwaukee’s US press release. Canadian pricing and availability were not stated in the sources we checked.
What it offers
According to Milwaukee, the 3301R delivers 7200W starting power and 3600W running power from a built-in 6.0 kWh (6000 Wh) REDLITHIUM battery, which is not removable. It uses a pure sine wave inverter and has pass-through power, so it can charge and run tools at the same time.
- Outlets: 2 x 20A GFCI duplex outlets with circuit breakers, 1 USB-C and 1 USB-A, 120V
- Charging: 8 hours to 100 percent, under 1 hour 40 minutes to 25 percent
- Size: 20 in high and 25 in wide, on 9.5-inch all-terrain wheels
- IP54 rating, ONE-KEY tracking and security, PACKOUT compatible top
- 3-year limited warranty; a cover (48-11-3301) is sold separately
Milwaukee’s group product manager Jake Van Wormer called the product “a major shift in how professionals access power on the job”.
How it compares with the first ROLL-ON
Pro Tool Reviews compared the 3301R with the original 3300R from 2024. Its table shows the same 7200W starting and 3600W running output, but the battery grows from 2.5 kWh to 6.0 kWh. The trade offs: full charging time rises from 3 hours to 8 hours, weight from 104 lb to 185 lb, and price from $5,499 to $8,999. Milwaukee’s own release describes the runtime gain as over 2.4X.

Pro Tool Reviews also lists Milwaukee’s own runtime estimates for the 3301R: up to 43 recharges of an M18 XC6.0 battery, 4.4 hours of rotary hammer chipping, or 9,358 cuts in OSB with a circular saw. These are maker estimates, not test results, and Pro Tool Reviews notes it ran no independent tests.
Who it suits
- General contractors on noise or fume limited sites: zero emissions and quiet running are the reasons to look. Indoor renovations, occupied buildings and early morning starts are where a gas generator causes trouble.
- Electrical and mechanical crews: 3600W running power and two 20A GFCI duplex outlets cover chargers, lights and many corded tools. Check the starting load of your largest tool against the 7200W figure.
- Fleet and rental buyers: ONE-KEY tracking and the 9.5-inch wheels help with security and moving it around the site. Plan for 185 lb on stairs and ramps, and for 8 hours of charging overnight.
- Small contractors and serious DIYers: at $8,999 US, this is a large purchase. The older 3300R, or a smaller portable power station, may cover lighter needs.
- Canadian buyers: no CAD price is published in the sources yet. Ask your Milwaukee dealer, and check cold weather charging guidance in the manual before relying on it in winter.
