Lowe’s has started selling Craftsman metal tool storage in a new army green finish, according to ToolGuyd, which reported the launch on October 21, 2026. Three S2000 52 in. pieces are out so far: a rolling workstation, a rolling cabinet and a top chest. Craftsman’s own product pages list all three with the same Army Green exterior.
What is in the army green range
ToolGuyd lists the three models with Lowe’s prices in US dollars. Craftsman’s pages, which do not show prices, supply the specifications.
- CMST98529AMYGB, 8-drawer workstation, $599. Craftsman lists a 3/4-in. butcher block top, a power strip with 6 outlets, 2 USB ports that take USB-A and USB-C, and four 5 in. x 2 in. casters. ToolGuyd calls it a tool cabinet with a USB power strip on the side.
- CMST98273AMYGB, 10-drawer rolling cabinet, $449. ToolGuyd says it drops the full-width top drawer and the power strip of the 8-drawer model but adds 2 more half-width drawers. Craftsman’s page does not mention a power strip.
- CMST98272AMYGB, 8-drawer open till chest, $399. Craftsman describes an open top compartment, a pegboard back, a 6-outlet power strip and 2 USB ports. ToolGuyd describes 8 shallow drawers in 2 depths.
All three pages state full-extension, soft-close drawers rated for up to 100 lbs each, a total load rating of up to 1,500 lbs, included drawer liners, and manufacturing in the USA with global materials.

Load ratings as listed on Craftsman’s product pages: 100 lbs per drawer, 1,500 lbs in total.
Where sources agree and differ
ToolGuyd and Craftsman agree on the model numbers, the colour and the drawer counts. They differ in naming: the 8-drawer CMST98529AMYGB is a cabinet in ToolGuyd’s write up and a workstation on Craftsman’s page, which also gives it the wood worktop. Craftsman’s army green pages also list no warranty, while Pro Tool Reviews reported a 10-year warranty on the red and black S2000 line, so check the terms at the shelf before you buy.
On availability, all the sources cover the United States. None of them states Canadian availability, Canadian pricing or a Lowe’s Canada listing, so Canadian readers should treat this as a US launch until Craftsman or a Canadian retailer says otherwise.
The colour trend
ToolGuyd points out that Home Depot already sells Husky metal storage in matte army green, including a 52 in. 10-drawer model at $548. The site asks whether Craftsman’s three pieces are a start or the whole line. Craftsman has not said.
Who it suits
- Professional tradesperson: the 1,500 lb rolling rating and four casters suit a shop that moves. Check the floor space and whether you need the pegboard or the work surface.
- Serious DIYer: the $399 chest with outlets is the cheapest way into the colour, but it needs a base or bench to sit on.
- Homeowner on a budget: the $449 10-drawer cabinet is the lowest priced rolling unit, though it has no power strip on Craftsman’s page.
- Crew or fleet buyer: a matching colour helps identify a crew’s boxes, but confirm warranty and Canadian supply first.
- Someone matching Husky: Husky’s army green pieces are Home Depot lines, so mixing brands will mean two retailers.
